What is it?
Dreaming of long and/or full hair? Longer or thicker hair is possible with secret weft extensions. Stop dreaming and invest in that hair!
The extensions are fitted in a way that does not damage your hair. Micro rings in your hair colour are used, and the extensions are sewn onto them with a very fine but strong thread. There are two methods: the high bead method and the low bead method (master). Which one is used depends on your hair, your scalp and your wishes. Only the best-quality hair extensions are used.
High bead suits normal and thick hair. Low bead is ideal for fine, fragile hair, or if you want zero damage and the very best for your hair. The rows are sewn in a natural fall with 6 to 8 micro rings, tension-free and holistically, taking your scalp, follicles, hair and skull shape into account. So no extra hair loss from the extensions.

Lifespan
1 to 1.5 years for dark shades, 1 year for blonde shades. Only guaranteed if you follow the advice, use the products and have all work done at Hair and Beyond. The hair is reusable, but needs moving up every 4 to 8 weeks.

If you decide to go ahead, I first ask for a 50% deposit. It is best to come back after a week for a blow-dry so I can check the extensions, especially after a first fitting. If a thread comes loose (a small repair), you are always welcome to pop in. A major repair may come with a small charge, or the extensions may need refitting.

Frequently asked questions
When can I have extensions fitted?
Extensions can be fitted in both fine and thick hair. If they are meant to add volume at your own length, almost any length works. If you want extra length, your own hair should ideally already be shoulder length.
What makes secret wefts so special?
Only the best-quality hair is used, so it lasts. The hair is hand-dyed with real hair colour instead of textile dye (which most extensions are coloured with), so it keeps its colour much longer. It also has an anti-tangle formula. The blend of Slavic and Vietnamese hair keeps it full from root to tip, makes it stronger and helps it blend beautifully with European hair. The band is extremely thin, easy to stack and you will not feel it.
When do my extensions need moving up?
For fine hair I recommend every 4 to 6 weeks, for normal hair 6 to 7 weeks and for thick hair 8 weeks. Each of these is a maximum: waiting longer can damage your natural hair.
How long can I keep the extensions?
They last 1 to 1.5 years for dark shades and up to 1 year for blonde shades. That lifespan can only be guaranteed if you follow the advice and use the Hair and Beyond products, and it can even be longer than the supplier states. The hair is reusable, but needs moving up every 6 to 8 weeks depending on your hair type. Every client and every hair type is looked at individually.
Can I come in for advice?
I always recommend it! I look at what is possible for each client: your hair, your scalp and what it can handle. We also look at the right colour for your hair, and I am happy to answer all your questions. The consultation is free.
Will extensions damage my own hair?
No. The extensions are fitted with care, adapted to your hair and scalp, so you will not go home in pain (pain and a pulling feeling after fitting often lead to hair loss). You can let your own hair grow in the meantime.
Why do I need to come back after a new set?
Because I look at your scalp and hair type, I work differently for every client. After a new set I always recommend coming back after a week for a blow-dry check: are the extensions still sitting well, has a thread come loose, have you combed into the band? We also talk about how it is going: are you getting used to them, is washing going well?
What do healthy grown-out extensions look like?
Normal, healthy shedding, no tangles, even tension along the row, a healthy scalp without tension spots and no pulled corners.
What can and can I not do with extensions?
Good news: you can do everything you would do with your own hair. The quality is so good that you can style and care for it in all kinds of ways. Do watch out for chlorine and sun cream (that goes for your own hair too).
Which products do you recommend?
When fitting your extensions, I always tell you which products are best for you. The products in the salon care for your hair and give your locks that extra touch of glamour.
Can I sunbathe with extensions?
Absolutely, but watch which sun cream you use, and also spray sun products around you: blonde hair can turn yellow or even coppery. They must never contain avobenzone. Chlorine needs care too: wet your hair with plain water and/or a leave-in spray first, and do not let your hair hang in the water. Put it up with a clip or in a bun. Suitable sun products are available in the salon.
